Okay, now it's official

The Democratic Party will not stake out a position on Iraq.

Pelosi said Democrats will produce an issue agenda for the 2006 elections but it will not include a position on Iraq.
...
"There is no one Democratic voice . . . and there is no one Democratic position," Pelosi said in an interview with Washington Post reporters and editors.

Understandable. I mean especially since having a muddled, incoherent view of the war worked so well for them in 2004.

Iraq belongs to Bush.

This is kinda like the Peanuts long-time cartoon where Lucy holds the football for Linus, and he can't help but be played for a sucker by a contemptuous, sneering Lucy, over and over and over.

Got news for you: I get the feeling those days are gone for Dems.

Harry Reid is not Tom Daschle, Nancy Pelosi is not Dick Gephardt, Howard Dean is not Terry McAuliffe. Well, Joe Lieberman has morphed into Norm Coleman, but that's another story for another day...LOL!

If Iraq turns out the way Dean and Pelosi and Murtha have said it will, you GOP Jean Schmidt clones will end up looking very, very stupid and weak indeed. They've put their markers down, the roulette wheel is spinning, and pretty soon we will know where the ball stops.
