Ah, what better way...

...to honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King?

"I need you to tell us what distinguishes Democrats from Republicans right now," she was asked.

Clinton's answer was provocative.

Said Clinton, "When you look at the way the House of Representatives has been run, it has been run like a plantation and you know what I'm talking about..."

Yes, Senator. We do.

Tim Graham may have a point.

Is it time to consider renaming the federal holiday--perhaps instead of Martin Luther King Day, it should just be described as Free-Flowing Democratic Invective Day? ... After all, it hasn't exactly been a boon for American racial unity and brotherhood, with Hillary and Al Sharpton exchanging plantation metaphors.

Yeah, that was carefully selected for the particular day and event.

One may ask how it is that Nancy Pelosi can punish Democrats who stray and who are, as a group, far more of a bloc than the GOP house (Chris Shays, anyone?) and that is considered smart politics.

The double standard and race baiting rise again.

BTW, think anybody dares to turn Sharpton down when he holds this little seminar every year?

What a bunch of wimps.

Hillary is dumb, everyone knows that Republicans don't run things like a Plantation. After all, plantations weren't allowed to steal trillions of dollars from future generations and use it to line the pockets of their friends and families. The best those old plantations could do was force people to work as slaves ... even that is dwarfed by the Republicans moving all American jobs to slave labor countries.

Come on, Hillary, those old plantation owners were PIKERS compared to the modern day Republicans!

"even that is dwarfed by the Republicans moving all American jobs to slave labor countries."

Oh puhleeze!

Earth to Bailey: the outsourcing gained great steam under Clinton's watch. In 1996, Clinton bragged about the fact that he had outdrawn the GOP in corporate contributions.

Also, where the heck do you gather that every CEO is a Republican?

From a 1964 LBJ campaign playbook?

Clinton did it first! Clinton did it first!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAAA!

Always a pleasure engaging in a serious discourse with someone like you, Bailey.

It reminds me again why I left the Democratic Party after 28 years!

Actually, it was your towering intellect suggesting that since outsourcing happened under Clinton, the wholesale offshoring of the high-tech industries in which our children were supposed to be preparing for jobs by Bush is not a valid point of discussion ... um ... because, what? Because you think I'm a Liberal or a Democrat, so Clinton represented me, and therefore I did it to myself? Or perhaps you think I didn't complain when Clinton allowed too many foreigners into this country for computer jobs -- I did.

OK mal, let's have a real discussion. Why has Bush allowed, and even encouraged, the destruction of the high-tech industries which were the jobs of the future? What are the Bush jobs of the future?

Seriously, answer those two questions.
