WaPo's Marc Fisher...
...is now officially and permanently on my you-know-what list. I'm sorry, but there are some offenses which are simply irredeemable. From yesterday's live chat:
Crofton, Md.: Hi Marc -- Question about human behavior (mine). I am horrified at the destruction along the Gulf Coast. I see bodies in the water and felt terrible but sadly not half as bad as I feel when I see a dog, cat, etc., dead or in distress from the storm! Am I hopeless? I can look at CNN and watch coverage of body removal but I immediately turn the channel when it is an animal! Why?Marc Fisher: Beats me. But then again, I cannot fathom why all these folks who stayed behind to take care of their pets would risk their lives for an animal that they could easily replace at any pet store.
K, I defer to your expertise on such matters. Does this make him an asshat or an asswipé?

Oh, I think that pushes him all the way up to Assface. Plenty of them out there lately. Although, sometimes, a good old fashioned asshole is just as satisfying.

I don't know. I think asshat is particularly appropriate, because it's as if he's never removed his head from his ass to check if there were other people with opinions out there. Perhaps "insensitive asshat" would cover it all for me.

some people think of their animal as if a child. as for me that's how i feel. my husband has progressive dementia at 57 years old. and seizures. our PET lets me know if he is having a problem. if anything happened to our dog it would be like losing a child. she is our child.
get a life buddy and get your head out of your ASS. ASSHAT seems alittle too good for this guy!!!!!!!!!
